The Novum 2000 by Janome is a sturdy metal bodied free-arm machine, ideal for most household sewing jobs. There are 12 built in stitches, including stretch stitches, and 4-step automatic buttonhole
It has a good size extensionl table for flat bed sewing (ideal for free-hand work).
You may have seen this machine advertised as 'Semi-industrial'. It most certainly IS NOT it is a quality, well engineered, quite heavy duty domestic machine. It can cope with denim, curtain fabrics and even soft leather, with no trouble.
There is a drop-feed function for free-hand darning, quilting, embroidery etc.
It is not designed to sew very heavy fabrics (canvas etc.) it would possibly produce an acceptable stitch on them, but it would damage it, especially with prolonged use on this and, if used for such work on a larger scale it could be completely ruined.
The machine fits into a plastic carrying case for storage etc.
Fully serviced and guaranteed for 1 year (provided it is used as a domestic machine and not subjected to use for which it was not designed).
The condition is good but there are one or two chips to the paint. This does often happen to metal bodied machines in normal use (eg. from dropping scissors etc) The plastic panels and dials have discoloured due to being kept out in the sunlight. It is not detrimental to the machine but gives it an interesting colour
As with all our pre-owned machines a copy of the instruction manual is included.
